Firstly please if you are a domestic do not come here. I failed 2 subjects due to personal issues that were not even considered let alone any reply from the appeals staff. Due to this I didn't make it into uts but had to drop out of tertiary education completely and now have about $40, 000 of debt that I owe so have to work it off for nothing. I have really felt depressed to the point of suicidal thoughts but the academic were hopeless. End of the day they're after your money with no grantees of making it into university itself.

There are a lot of cheaper and better alternative pathway courses out there guys. There are only a very small and incredibly basic group of no more than around 5 courses too by the way.

I was depressed to the point where i had suicidal thoughts. Complete waste of money for international students. A bunch of useless student centre staffs and academics who do not enjoy their jobs.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I went there as i was told by my education agency from my home country who told me it would be a great place to go rather than going to another uni and transferring. I came here like a fool.

The high amount of international students, can hardly speak english too, which makes group assignments and class work in general basically near impossible to get anywhere with. Without being too harsh, I really think insearch needs to be way more strict on assessing international student's english capabilities, as it's incredibly unfair for domestic or english speaking students.

This place is only for people to improve their English

Insearch is a joke for domestics. I agree with Nick and every single 1 star even though it deserves minus 5 stars, also did engineering networking essentials. It was designed to fail about 3 in every 5 students and thought it was stupid actually. STAY AWAY DOMESTICS you have been warned by everyone and stop deleting most 1 star reviews because the fact is its true and you guys also have been so bad. Also the building is pretty much trash and seems like you are in a different country or an airport seriously not impressed especially with the academic advisers you guys are pretty much bad. Domestics who liked this place have immigrated recently and have also been offered a job at Insearch. Just please listen and go to uws or tafe much better options and you pay less than 10% than at Insearch as they only see about 40,000 in each student. Pathetic.

I am an international student. I completed my diploma of engineering. I have had to do this subject called Networking Essentials which had nothing to do with my chosen degree. The teaching methods in this subjects were directed for students to fail. I did not enjoy it at all and the rude teacher never taught me anything.

I once emailed a subject coordinator with a general query about an assignment (I will not name them out of respect) and their reply was absolutely immature, rude and highly unprofessional and I was genuinely shocked as to how someone in their role would be able to respond like this...

I had just one dream but it has been crushed due to this very bad and depressing decision that I now have to look into doing something else. The english is very poor of international students which is a major language barrier for local and internationals. I really hope that every domestic stay completely away from this place as I have learnt my lesson in a very bad way.

On my first day when i saw the building i thought it was the business administration building of uts. Next day for orientation they held it in their classes which are few mins walk from chinatown.

It's an extremely poor system they have too, basically if you fail one subject here, you're screwed and that's it. I seriously feel sorry for the people, especially domestic students who have wasted tens of thousands of dollars and heaps of time for nothing, because they failed just one subject.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go to other uni and transfer if you are looking for good pathway programs

If you have any problems or need misadventure, the teachers 99 times out of 100 will not even consider being lenient to you at all, which I would say is very unethical.

For a quick summary, if you're a domestic student, you will most likely hate it... The place is primarily all international students, most of which struggle with english heavily. The very tiny campus has no real vibe at all and I found it depressing going here... also, the prices are UNBELIEVABLE (If you're a domestic student you basically pay about the same as an international student too I believe) and you basically cannot fail a single thing! Without sounding too biased, I honestly encourage you to not take much note of the good reviews left for this place.

The student centres, resources and counsellors are absolutely USELESS.....

And for the most part there are little to no breaks at all (literally), you start way earlier than all other uni's and finish way later, plus NO mid year break!! (start early Feb in the year and finish mid Dec......) This is beyond unfair and way too long and stressful for students, especially with the strict requirements on top of that.

Even if you fail one unit you will have to wait for about 10 months to get into uts if your entry is only in autumn. Alot of students had to complete one semester of first year at uts as insearch units were not counted in as clearly stated by insearch themselves. Only if you guys never had approached me with your scam I would have of been in a better place physically and mentally. The Australian government really needs to step into and regulate these private institutes.

Overall, for a high approximate $30,000+ for the year (which is about how much you could do a whole bachelors degree for at several universities), yes this place does get you into UTS second year, assuming you meet all the requirements and do not fail a single thing, however there are much much more equivalent, better, fair and cheaper pathways options out there ESPECIALLY if you're a domestic student too.

One of the most astonishing things too, is that insearch doesn't even do all the core subjects for your desired degree, therefore not all of the subjects you do will not all credit for the UTS course you want to do, therefore you will be doing around 1 or 2 core/first year subjects the following year when you're at UTS (if you make it in) and furthermore it will add more time to your overall degree, which is just a waste of time, delays when you will graduate and is a waste of money!

This place is only for learning english for people who are extremely weak in english. THATS IT!!!
  • Benjamin
    Added 2013.06.06
Lecturers and staff members do not put a lot of attention towards a students success which is really disappointing as it doesn’t develop students interest towards pursuing interest to their career.

If you are a genuine international student. This really is not the place to be. If you are a domestic student this definitely is not for you. I completely agree with H.S and Danny Scott.
